Description

Welcome to the 58th issue of Elska, our third Canadian edition, which manages to include four different cities and men from each of them. The journey starts off in the ‘prairie province’ of Saskatchewan, taking in Regina (the capital, aka ‘Queen City’) and Weyburn (a town probably most famous for having the last-remaining all-you-can-eat KFC buffet). Then for the second half of the issue, the journey moves across to Québec, taking in Trois-Rivières (a city formerly known as the paper-making capital of the world) and Tiohtià:ke (arguably the best city in all of North America).

If you think our choice of target towns is weird, then get ready for a very weird issue overall, but also a super-sexy, super-creative, and super-fun one. In terms of the text, it has more elskan-written stories than we’ve published since our 49th issue, and more than half of these are in the form of poetry. This includes poems inspired by writers like Huw Arwystli, Karen Solie, Edward A Lacey, and Taylor Swift.

And in terms of the photography, this issue has an all-nvde cast of characters, it includes our coldest ever shoots (down to -20C), though fortunately the nvdity was kept to the indoors! This edition also features our largest-ever showcase of film photography, using four different stocks, giving an extra-honest and raw collection of images.

‘Elska Regina’ features thirteen chapters and the following elskans: Teagan G, Benjamin Quinn, Chris Foss, Max G, Rémi C, Nico Dorval, and Aidan O’Connor.

Note: Postage and handling from Germany is included in the price from the ‘Ask Bret’ shop.
